TIMBERHOLM INN | STOWE, VERMONT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

The moment I met Bridget & Sean I knew we were going to be great friends. We grabbed a drink before their engagement session in Charleston, SC and immediately had the best time. I was vacationing in their beautiful city with my boyfriend, Drew, for his birthday. And it worked out PERFECTLY that I was able to capture Bridget & Sean’s engagement session during our trip!

Fast forward to August 1, 2020. We could not have asked for a more perfect Vermont summer day. I immediately felt like part of the family as soon as I arrived to Timberholm Inn on Saturday. I was greeted with open arms by Bridget’s mother, Kelly and felt right at home.

When Sean saw Bridget walking down those stairs toward the aisle I could feel my heart skip a beat. It was the moment we had all been waiting for. And when he slid that ring on Bridget’s finger, he could barely say his vows without being overcome with emotion. So genuine, so heartfelt. Immediately after the ceremony the newlyweds shared the sweetest moment with a family member over a video call and it brought tears to my eyes just thinking about the sacrifices their guests had to make and the decisions that were made to be or not be a part of such a special celebration.

Bridget & Sean’s wedding party was so. much. fun. From their epic toasts to dancing the night away. I loved their energy all day long.

We were able go up the Stowe mountain road for sunset portraits just in the nick of time. A picturesque cornfield, dreamy golden hour light & Mount Mansfield equals photographer heaven! Absolutely a Vermont dream come true. Not to mention Bridget & Sean and their unconditional love for each other. They made my job so easy!

Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Wright! I wish you nothing but the best for your future together. I am quite certain our paths will cross again whether it’s in Vermont or Charleston - I am so thankful to have been able to capture your wedding day!

Snowy Winter Proposal | Stowe, Vermont Engagement Photographer

Savannah & Corey

The perfect snow fall & the most romantic sleigh ride in Stowe, Vermont?! Can you say magical setting to pop the question and propose to your love! Corey got down on one knee and asked Savannah to marry him - she said yes!

Winter in Vermont can be one of the coziest, romantic and beautiful time of year to cuddle up with the one you love for a couples session. Whether you’re planning to pop the question or have your engagement photos in the snow (or both?!) or maybe even an anniversary session to celebrate. I just love how gorgeous the snow can be when it’s fresh on the ground or floating through the sky.

I hope everyone had a fabulous New Years Eve! Cheers to 2020!

Katie & Matthew | 12.14.19

When I first met Katie & Matt down in Southern Vermont for their engagement session this fall I felt like we were already great friends. These two have a love that just radiates off each other when they’re together. The entire engagement session we laughed, talked and had so much fun. Their wedding day was no different. These two both have a glow of happiness that shines through no matter what. It made me smile from ear to ear all day long capturing their love for one another.

I am so happy and fortunate that Katie & Matt came into my life. Congratulations you two, and thank you for trusting me to capture your day!

Krista & Cody | 10.29.19

Please join me in congratulating Krista & Cody, who made their love official last week in Maui, Hawaii! Barefoot on the beach, the beautiful blue waves crashed behind them as the sun set over the horizon. It was like something straight out of a movie. Even though I couldn’t hear every word Drew spoke as he officiated, Krista & Cody’s smiles toward each other said it all.

This was it, they were MARRIED - these two tied the knot and became Mr. & Mrs. May! It was a true honor for both Drew and I to be there celebrating with them. Thank you for having us along for the adventure!

Krista & Cody, we wish you nothing but the best for your future together. You two are an extraordinary couple that I’m so happy to call our friends.

Michelle & Glenn | 10.26.19

When Michelle & I first connected I felt like I had known her forever - just from e-mail communication and one phone call! When we met for engagement photos I truly already had the feeling of being her friend. Michelle has a way of welcoming you with her kind eyes and the warmest smile. The way Glenn looks at her says it all, with all the love in the world they have the power to do anything together.

When I say I love fall in Vermont I mean every. single. word. Even though it is the shortest season and one of the busiest times of year for a photographer, it is 100% my absolute favorite. Okay, so I love fall, but Michelle REALLY loves fall. Can you blame her?! Crisp air, crunchy leaves, bright orange foliage, pumpkins, apple cider mimosas… I could go on and on, oh and did I mention cows! These Holsteins stole the show during Michelle & Glenn’s ceremony. It was truly one for the books! An absolutely picturesque sunny Vermont October day for these two incredible people.

Congratulations Michelle & Glenn. It was an honor to be a part of your celebration and I know we will stay in touch!

Amity & Jeremy | 10.05.19

The smile that came to Jeremy’s face when he turned around to see his beautiful bride said it all. The nerves, the anticipation, the planning all washed away as he looked at Amity under the covered bridge. Their giddiness together made me smile all day long.

Amity & Jeremy were married under perfectly sunny skies at Mad River Barn on Saturday. The foliage was on point as well as their stunning fall florals and the mountain views were endless. Not to mention, their sweet pup Rylie completely stole my heart.

Towards the end of the night Amity’s sister quoted Dr. Seuss in her speech, “We are all a little weird, and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.” These words, so simple, speak so much truth. Love is weird. Love is special & unique. But it’s your love that is the best love.

Amity & Jeremy, capturing your wedding day was a true honor. Thank you for letting me into your love story, I wish you nothing but the best for your future together!

Kelly & Matt | 09.29.19

Kelly & Matt were married on a picture perfect Vermont fall day at Stratton Mountain Resort this past Sunday. The crisp air, blue skies & gorgeous foliage surrounded them the entire day. From the sweetest first look under a big red covered bridge to their ceremony on the top of the Green Mountains, the whole day was filled with love, laughs & excitement. The leaves were in the process of turning a gorgeous orange & yellow w/ some green still in the mix - the perfect combo. The foliage paired with the cutest flower girls & bright colorful florals made the day extra special.

Kelly & Matt thank you for having me along to capture the next step in your love story. I wish you nothing but the best for your future adventures together!

Sara & Ryan | 09.28.19

When I first met Sara & Ryan for their engagement session back in the fall of 2018, I instantly was excited about their 2019 wedding. We walked around Burlington & talked about how they met at UVM. We shared college stories & connections, we laughed on the fire escape at University Place & popped champagne by the waterfront. I could tell that Burlington, Vermont was a very special place to them.

Even with the nerves about the weather, Sara & Ryan shared an absolutely perfect day together with their families & close friends by their side every step of the way. The rain held off until the reception (cue happy dance!) and even let up for the best sparkler exit at the end of the night. Sara had the sweetest first look w/ her Dad & rocked the pockets in her gorgeous wedding gown all. day. long.

Sara & Ryan, thank you for trusting me to be there & capture every moment. It was truly an honor & I wish you nothing but the best for your futures together!

Christy & Kris | 09.14.19

As Kris turned around under the Japanese maple tree he saw his gorgeous bride for the first time. All the anticipation and worry completely washed away. These two could not stop smiling. I could not stop smiling. It was pure joy, pure happiness like nothing else mattered in the world except what was right in front of them.

As I drove up the beautiful drive of the Colonel Williams Inn, you could see the tips of the leaves just starting to change color. The overcast skies made for the most dreamy, soft, magical light. The anticipation with what the weather may or may not do hung in the air but it didn’t matter to Christy & Kris. They were hopeful but understood that there was no sense worrying about something you simply can’t control. We ended up being just lucky enough that the light mist and wind came to a pause in time for the ceremony. How perfect, it was truly meant to be.

Christy & Kris, it was an absolute honor to capture your wedding day. I wish you nothing but the best for your future together.

Jen & Jenny | 09.07.19

Jen & Jenny’s love story started off in the best way, as friends; and blossomed into a relationship so genuine, easy and beautiful. Jen & Jenny’s wedding reflected their smart, caring & adventurous spirits. So much love surrounded them with their families and amazing friends. You could feel it in the air, all. day. long.

When I first met Jen & Jenny at a local cafe their easy-going nature shined through as well as their love for one another. We shared so many laughs in that meeting as well as on their wedding day. Both being vets they loved that the Farmhouse Inn was surrounded by animals. Even the owners dog Ben showed up for a special appearance!

At the end of the night as I was giving my goodbye hugs to the newlyweds, Jenny said, “Thank you for making today so easy.” It was the best feeling to know how they felt and how I made them feel - it should be easy. It should be fun, exciting and joyful. Not stressful. Your wedding day is supposed to be one of the best days ever & for Jen & Jenny it was just that. I am so honored to be a part of this celebration and I wish you two nothing but the best for your futures together!

Rachel & Justin | 09.01.19

I met Justin for the first time on Sunday. And it felt like I had known him for years. As we were walking back from the first look he started explaining to me how truly happy he was that he was able to have just 5 minutes to himself before he saw Rachel. To focus solely on her. And be in that moment. He felt grounded and centered because of it. The way he described this feeling made me take a step back.

And then he saw her, and it felt like time stopped. Justin was completely memorized by the beauty that stood before him. The way he looked at her gave me goosebumps. So full of love, admiration and respect. I couldn't believe how magical it all felt. In that moment, I realized that this wasn't just a special day for the two of them but it was an incredible beginning to all the special days that are yet to come.

Rachel & Justin’s wedding day was filled with numerous heartfelt & genuine moments between these two soul mates. If I could go back and relive it over and over again I would. Congratulations Rachel & Justin, and thank you for the opportunity to capture your special day. It was a true honor!

Hannah & Noah | 08.31.19

Hannah was ready. Ready to head to the church and walk down that isle. Her hair was done, make-up was fresh and she was in her dress. She looked absolutely stunning. The getting ready photos were over and we were headed out the door. As we all hustled to get into the shuttle we stopped on her parents front lawn to grab some quick group shots with the gorgeous view. The anticipation of the ceremony was right on the edge of everyones seats. Then her Mom went for one final hug. She said those three words, whispered in Hannah’s ear: “I love you.” And that’s when Hannah had to let go. All of the overwhelming emotions came rushing out. The feeling of being so loved by everyone around you was extremely apparent in that brief moment, and continued on the entire day. She was ready to marry Noah.

You could see it in the way that Noah makes Hannah laugh. So easy and effortless. These two tied the knot where their love story started, at The Burlington Country Club. It was just perfect. Sentimental, beautiful and elegant.

Hannah and Noah, thank you so much for the opportunity to capture your wedding day. It truly meant the world to me! I wish you nothing but the best for your future together.

Their kind, generous & thoughtful natures shined through the entire wedding. All the details were there and came together beautifully for these two amazing people. I could feel the sense of community and giving from their closest friends & family by their side. Their people had their back, and Maria & Blake had theirs. I could see it in their eyes & in the way they walked next to each other. They were ready for the next chapter of their lives. They were ready to take on whatever life hands them, and they were ready to love each other through it all.

Allie & Matt | 08.24.19

The way he looked at her. All. day. long. So gentle, so kind, so in love. From the moment Allie came walking down that church aisle throughout the entire day. Matt loves Allie. End of story. The way he would reach for her hand, gently touch her back, or sneak a kiss when she least expected it. She’s his world and so is he to her.

Allie & Matt said “I do” last Saturday and it was such an honor to be a part of their day. From meeting for coffee to hiking Lone Rock Point for their engagement session. I felt like I truly got to be a part of these two’s love story.

Allie & Matt, thank you for including me on your journey! I wish you both nothing but the best for your futures together. Congratulations!

Leah & Justin | 08.17.19

With a strong chance of rain coming our way on Saturday, Leah & I had been in contact trying to come up with a game plan. Me, being in denial that the rain was actually coming, and her slightly worried about the outcome, had to make a game time decision. She called me Saturday morning, her calm, collected voice over my cell phone while she was getting her hair done. Leah politely asking if we could move things earlier so we could get all of the photos done before the ceremony. YES OF COURSE, I said. You can’t control the weather and it’s hard not to worry about it. But you can be flexible and understanding that we will make it work.

Without the rain there would be no rainbow. And that’s exactly what happened during Leah & Justin’s wedding day. The storm held off until after cocktail hour and cleared just in time for sunset and a beautiful rainbow. They say it’s good luck for there to be rain on your wedding day, it was truly meant to be.

These two college sweethearts tied the knot at The Whitcomb House and I am so thankful for the opportunity to capture their wedding day. Congratulations you two! I wish you nothing but the best for your future.

A Backyard Summer Wedding | Wells, Vermont Wedding Photographer

Talon & Keith | August 10, 2019

We dodged multiple rain showers on Saturday for Keith & Talon’s backyard wedding in Wells, Vermont, but the weather didn’t even phase these two love birds one bit. Together since high school, the ease between Keith & Talon was apparent all day long. Simply just the way they looked at each other was the warmest feeling in the world.

Keith’s parents beautiful home was the perfect place for these two to celebrate their love for one another. Their wedding rings were made from wood out of a tree on that same property. The same property where Keith’s parents were married - under the same tree. The flowers were grown by Keith’s mother and lettuce from their garden was part of the wedding meal. And did I mention Keith designed Talon’s custom engagement ring himself?! Wow. So much love. All in one place.

Keith & Talon, it was an honor to be a part of your wedding day! I wish you nothing but the best for your future together in Boston and wherever life takes you.

Jess & Eric | August 3, 2019

Exactly one week ago, I sat down at Jess & Eric’s rehearsal dinner overlooking the beautiful Housatonic River in Stratford, Connecticut. Nothing but love, joy & excitement was in the air as the anticipation of the next day was upon every single person in the room. Eric’s father, Scott, starts his toast. He explains the first time he met Jess, telling Eric, “She seems like a really nice girl.” And Eric replies… “No Dad, she’s perfect.” Cue heart melting. That story not only brought tears to my eyes but stuck with me the entire weekend.

For those of you who don’t know, here’s a little back story about me and Jess… (see their Oregon engagement session here).

Capturing Jess & Eric’s wedding day meant the absolute world to me, more than they will ever know. From Eric’s first glimpse of Jess walking down that church aisle w/ one stray tear rolling down his cheek - to the epic dance circle blaring Taylor Swift & Red Hot Chili Peppers at the reception. Every. single. moment. was real & true. These two beautiful humans are so in love, capturing it was one of the most fulfilling joys I have ever experienced. I had to remind myself a few times on Saturday… “Am I actually working right now?!” This is unreal.

Congratulations Jess & Eric! I know you’ll be reading this on a beach in Hawaii, soak up every minute of it and enjoy your honeymoon to the fullest together! You both deserve it.

Jennifer & Alex | July 27, 2019

The moment Jennifer picked up the phone back in August of last year I knew her wedding day would be an absolute blast. She made me smile from ear to ear. We had so many mutual connections to people in Vermont and the amazing place we both call home. Jennifer is one of the most positive, friendly, fun and bubbly woman I have ever met. We just simply clicked.

Every single part of Jennifer & Alex’s wedding day was so. much. fun. From the girls getting ready in their beautiful bridal suite to the sweetest first look and bridal party photos. You could feel the joy everywhere you turned. Even when it started to sprinkle during their sunset photos - Jennifer & Alex were up for anything.

Thank you both so much for including me in your wedding day. I truly felt like one of your closest friends. Congratulations and I wish you nothing but the best for your future together!

Amy & Chris | July 20, 2019

The church doors opened. The crowd stood up. Amy started walking, her arm around her Dads. Emotions flooded the room as Chris looked down the isle at his beautiful bride. What a moment. So honest. So pure. so special. Time stopped. And right then & there, nothing else mattered.

When I first met Amy back in March I instantly felt like we had been friends for years. We talked about her engagement to Chris and the wedding of course, but we connected on so many other levels too. She has a way of making you feel completely comfortable in any situation. I could of spent the entire afternoon chatting together over coffee.

Amy & Chris’s wedding day was filled with so much joy and love I felt so fortunate to be a part of their celebration. And did I mention that Amy created all of the beautiful bouquets for the wedding?! She seriously could be a professional floral designer. Thank you Amy & Chris for letting me into a piece of your love story. I wish you nothing but the best for your future together. Congratulations!
