Riverside Farm | Pittsfield, Vermont Wedding Photographer

Maddie & Pat | 08.12.17

What started as a foggy morning at Riverside Farm with 60% chance of thunderstorms turned into a spectacular day with absolutely no rain! This seems to be a theme this summer.

Maddie and I grew up in neighboring towns and went to the same elementary, middle and high school. Although she was a few grades above me I do have one memory that takes us way back to playing in the school yard waiting for the bus. Almost everyday when I was in elementary school Maddie and Katelyn (one of her bridesmaids/my neighbor growing up) would teach me and my best friend gymnastics. Yes, anywhere from cartwheels, handstands, back bends etc. It was something I looked forward to every day after school! Although my future as a gymnast never took off, this memory is one I will always remember.

Maddie & Pat's day was filled with so much love, joy and positive energy. I could feel it as soon as I arrived. Everyone was so happy to be there, the excitement was buzzing around the room. It always feels so special when you see a couple surrounded by an abundance of friends and family who genuinely care about both of them.

Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Fraser! Thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful celebration.

Elizabeth & Paul | 08.05.17

I was in absolute awe that the rain decided to hold off just in time for Elizabeth and Paul's ceremony on Saturday. The entire week it was calling for 100% chance of thunderstorms all day. Thankfully the skies decided to clear, after raining all morning. I was beyond excited to be able to capture their ceremony outside at The Mansfield Barn!

Elizabeth and Paul have been together through thick and thin. It was such a joy being able to see so many family and friends travel from all over to celebrate this couple's love. I am honored to be a part of your special day and capture such a big milestone in your lives.

Celia & Mark | 07.16.17

The weather forecasted rain and thunderstorms the entire week of Celia & Mark's July wedding at Jay Peak Resort. You know what they say about Vermont: "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes!" Celia was convinced their ceremony would have to be inside, but Sunday ended up being an absolutely gorgeous day complete with sunshine, blue skies and mountain views!

I met Celia & Mark last summer when I started serving at The Bearded Frog in Shelburne, VT. They introduced me to so many new things in the restaurant industry. Mark's creations in the kitchen using local ingredients were not only mouth watering and delicious but were stunningly presented. Celia's knowledge of wine, beer and spirits still blows my mind and I continue to learn something new every time I step into the restaurant. Her hand crafted cocktail menu is exquisite with each ingredient playing a key role in her refreshing concoctions. Celia and Mark make an amazing team at work and in life.

When Mark proposed to Celia on top of a mountain, Libby's Look (down the road from their house), I didn't think I could be happier...Until Celia asked me to photograph their wedding! Mark custom designed her engagement ring with Vermont maple leaves on one side and the French fleur de lis symbol on the other. How amazing and unique?! I am beyond honored to be a part of their special day and capture so many amazing memories for such a special couple.

Love radiated through both Celia & Mark's smiles the entire day. The way they look at each other, like no one else matters. Seeing them so happy truly made my heart full.

Happy Sunday!

We didn't have to go far from Celia & Mark's home on Wednesday night to create beautiful images; One of the many reasons I love Vermont! Everywhere you turn there is either a river or field right around the corner.

I am beyond excited to photograph their wedding today at Jay Peak Resort! Stay tuned this week for sneak peaks from their big day.

Cheers. xo

Spencer | Milton High School

Graduation day is here! A huge congratulations to this handsome senior. We did Spencer's portrait session last summer and I felt like it definitely deserved to be featured on the blog. Better late than never! Not only did the corn field and the Huntington River make for gorgeous backdrops but we made sure Spencer's dog Betsy got in for a shot. What a sweet pup!

Keith & Chad | Burlington, Vermont Wedding Photographer

Keith & Chad | 06.03.17

All you need is love, Lake Champlain & maple creemees. How handsome are these southern gentlemen?! And not to mentioned their Mickey Mouse themed attire including bow ties, rings and even socks.

Keith & Chad are both originally from Alabama. They've been together 12 years and decided to make their love official right here in Burlington, Vermont. They flew up for a weekend getaway together, traveling all throughout the green mountain state. It makes me incredibly happy to know that there are people who love Vermont as much as I do.

Not only did we end the session with maple creemees but Keith insisted on me getting one too. How could I say no?! You definitely don't have to tell me twice. I love my maple creemees!

Congratulations Keith & Chad! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture your special day!

The Old Lantern Inn & Barn | Vermont Wedding Photographer

Michaela & Joel | 05.19.17

Charlotte, Vermont was the perfect setting for Michaela & Joel's wedding day this past weekend. Between the lilacs, Lake Champlain and the covered bridge just down the road, everywhere you turned was absolutely breath taking!

Michaela & Joel saw each other for the first time under the swaying weeping birch tree in front of The Old Lantern Inn & Barn. We then took a short drive to an adorable covered bridge right next to Lake Champlain. So Vermont. How amazing are these too practicing their first dance in the middle of a country back road! Ah my heart.

Michaela & Joel were married under an incredible homemade arbor with flowers from Trader Joe's. Absolutely stunning! This brought so much life to the fresh spring green backdrop. A unique aspect of their ceremony included Michaela & Joel taking river water, each from their hometown, and pouring it together as one. What an amazing idea! So special.

Cheers to Michaela & Joel. xo

Best of 2016 Weddings with KRP

Hello beautiful,

I am in complete disbelief that 2016 is almost over! Where does the time go?! I feel so blessed for the many opportunities and places that this year has given me. After graduating from Hallmark Institute of Photography in June and moving back up to Vermont, I was given an incredible job opportunity doing what I absolutely love. Education sure doesn't stop after school. I have learned SO much working for Kelsey Regan Photography. Not only is she THE best boss but she is also a stellar teacher.

I have put together a collection of my images I shot while second shooting for Kelsey this season. I am very thankful for being able to travel New England doing what I love. And I am so excited to see what next year has in store for us!

Kailee & Nick | 10.29.16

You just can't beat Autumn in New England! The cool crisp air and of course the turning of the leaves are just a few things that make up my favorite season. I was ecstatic when I found out Kailee & Nick's wedding was in October! There was just enough foliage hanging on to make for a stunning backdrop. Not to mention these two! I am very thankful to my design instructor, Todd, at Hallmark Institute of Photography for connecting us. Kailee & Nick were an absolute joy to work with. And I'm not just saying that! You could feel the love throughout the entire day. Just the way they looked at each other. Absolutely real and true. And it didn't stop with Kailee & Nick. Their family and friends were involved with so many aspects of their day from the planning, to the flowers, hair & makeup, DJ, and officiant. Kailee & Nick were surrounded by so many beautiful people and I am so happy I was able to capture their day!

Rose & Gabe | 09.03.16 - Milton, VT

Good morning beautiful.

Oh Rose. Where do I begin?! I guess it all started when I showed up to try-outs for the Mount Mansfield Varsity Dance team in 2007 as an itty bitty Freshman. I was one of 12 girls who went out for the team that year and guess what?! We all made it! Phew. Rose has had and continues to have such a huge impact on the MMU Dance program. It would not be where it is today without her and I am proud to call myself an alumni.

Thank you Rose, for getting by butt up for 6:15am practices every day, of every week, of every winter for four years. And thank you for always believing in us!

It was such an honor to be a part of your special day. I truly felt like part of the family. Every detail was carefully thought out and so personal. Every vendor was not only local but friends of the bride and groom! And seriously check out that bouquet?!? How unique. Each brooch was a gift from the special ladies in her life.

It means so much to me that I was able to capture memories that you will have for a lifetime. There is no one more deserving of your happiness than you and Gabe. Thank you for being you, my coach, a mentor and my friend!

Kaitlan & Ethan

Hello lovely.

How gorgeous are these two, not to mention the perfect sunset behind the weeping willow trees in Deerfield, MA?! I will never forget the way I felt after this photoshoot for my final portfolio at Hallmark Institute of Photography. The team I had to help me make this all come together was AMAZING, I could not have done it without them. I had a vision and they helped me make it a reality.

I have to first thank Becky at Floral Affairs in Greenfield, MA for the drop dead gorgeous bouquet and boutonniere. They were icing on the cake! My classmate and friend Tiahna Lynn for the stunning hair & makeup (I know who I will be calling when I get married!) My partner in crime, Yael Pachino, for making a killer behind the scenes video of how I got the shot, and my amazing friend, Liz Hidalgo, for being the perfect assistant. I am not sure where I would be now without the three of them.

I also could not have done this photoshoot without the cooperation of my amazing models Kaitlan & Ethan. I appreciate all of the time they put into making the photoshoot come to life. They knew all the right questions to ask as we worked poses and troubleshooted technical difficulties. Their chemistry, along with Ethan's acting experience was the perfect touch to make my vision come true. They were positive and enthusiastic the entire time which made the experience fun for everyone!

So again, a huge THANK YOU to my beautiful people <3

Elegant Window Light

Hello beautiful.

Don't you just LOVE clean, gorgeous natural light? What could be better! I was in heaven putting this photo shoot together for my Phase III Additional Personal Submissions at Hallmark Institute of Photography. The goal of this assignment was to give us the opportunity to personalize a body of work that includes images which represent specific areas of interest to us. I personally love, love. I love real moments, that are true, emotional and stunning.

For this shoot I did my fair share of running around the Greenfield, MA area speaking to florists and bridal dress shops in order to put all of this together. A big thanks to Shelley and Danielle from The Bridal Barn & Tux Shoppe located in Deerfield, MA. Danielle was not only the perfect model, but she also helped me coordinate the style of gown, with the jewelry, head piece and all the little details. I was extremely fortunate to also work with Rebecca from Floral Affairs located in Greenfield MA. She is a true artist and her flower bouquets were masterpieces! I cannot thank her enough.

The location above the Replay Music Store in Greenfield was perfect. The huge window gave me gorgeous natural light and the old wooden walls and floor were beautiful. And did you see that chandelier!?! Just wow. Also a huge shout out to my lady Amber for doing stunning hair and makeup and Yael for assisting me with the shoot! I could not have pulled this off without everyone involved and I appreciate everyone's time and effort helping my romantic vision come to life.

Cheers.
